A Collaboration of VSC with SEIG Based Microgrid in Voltage and Frequency Control

Abstract In the generation, most widely used generator is synchronous (SG) but its cost of producing per kilo watt (kW) power higher than induction (IG). There are many advantages IG over SG like, has small size for kW output production it means that energy density SG, when operates in parallel runs without hunting problem. can recover with relatively simple control. an alternative source to convert mechanical into electrical energy. Some problems associated at distribution and generation level isolated electric system. These mainly caused by linear changes load. It results loss system reliability. The quality voltage frequency also get affected. So, enhance reliability control & frequency, a flexible method electronic converter which dynamics provide support as well simultaneously. When this emulates mechanism, works like real called VSG. This paper presents distribution-generation collaboration VSC. VSC controller designed on basis d-q model converter. Performance strategy verified through Matlab/Simulink. simulation result represents actual behavior against non-linear loads. shows optimization keeping under permissible limit.
